Senmut is the first and only Bed & Breakfast ( b&b ) accommodation in Luxor (Egypt).

A Bed & Breakfast (also called guesthouse) is a home that is partially made available for guests. A Bed & Breakfast is usually small, informal, quiet and safe (it is not a public building). Besides a comfortable and clean room, the owners offer you the advice and information on the area and are always there for a chat.

Senmut hopes to be a ‘home away from home’ for guests who are interested in ancient and contemporary Egyptian culture. Luxor is a very good location. In Luxor (the city formally known as Thebes) and the surrounding area, you will find some of the best examples of classical culture, such as temples and graves from the civilization of the Pharaohs. It is also a great place to experience the daily life of the local inhabitants.

Many customs, norms and values originated in the civilization of the Pharaohs. Islam also has a strong influence on daily life. The local population is known for their warmth, openness and hospitality.

Senmut is located on the Westbank, the more rural area of Luxor with its (traditional) villages, but also close to the city and its tourist attractions. It has nine spacious and clean rooms, with a lovely view of the Nile with its ships and sailing vessels, the Temple of Luxor and the city on the one side and the wide fields with palm trees on the other side.

Senmut offers you a comfortable holiday in a b&b, with peace and privacy, but also with room for contact and inspiration.
