"b&b" Senmut Luxor B&B Egypt

	Senmut has 10 twin rooms. All rooms are spacious and very clean. Four rooms are located on the ground floor, five on the first floor (with balcony) and 1 room on the roof terrace (with a spectacular view, this is the most popular room). All of the rooms have their own shower, wash basin and toilet. All rooms have two large single beds (that can be put together), a wardrobe, a dresser and a seat. Every room is equipped with a fan. In time all rooms will be fitted with airconditioning. At the moment only a few rooms have airconditing. There is a communal living/dining room, bathroom and kitchen on every floor.
The sheltered garden and roof terrace are open for guests. Guests can take their meals in the garden or on the roof. From the partially covered roof terrace you can enjoy a lovely view over the Nile and its boats, the East Bank of Luxor and the Temple of Luxor on the one side and the fields of the West Bank of Luxor with its palm trees and sugar cane plantations on the other. Meals Breakfast is included in the price. If you want to prepare your own meals and/or drinks, you can use the communal kitchen. If you let us know (in the morning), we can prepare a reasonably priced evening meal for you. There are several restaurants in the area that offer relatively cheap meals and several take-away restaurants. Service Senmut has its own car, which can be used for trips/excursions/transfers to and from Luxor Airport. Guests can also have their clothes washed and/or ironed for a reasonable fee. An evening of Egyptian folklore (with music and dance) can be organized on request. Location Senmut is located on the West Bank of Luxor, on the Nile. This area is called El Ramlah. The ferry between the West and East Bank is 5 minutes away. At the ferry service you will also find a taxi stand and the village of El Gezira, which has a grocery store.You can also cross the Nile to the East Bank directly from the house by motor boat. On the East Bank is the city of Luxor, the Temple of Luxor, the Temple of Karnak and museums. The West Bank is an agricultural area with several small villages. The desert and mountains are a fifteen minute drive away. Here you will find the Temple of Hathepsupt the Temple of Medinet Habu, the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. There are trains and planes between Luxor and Cairo or Aswan and a bus connection between Luxor and Hurghada. 	About us and our guests Your Egyptian host studied Egyptology at university and is a qualified guide. We try to offer people a new form of accommodation in Luxor, with both contact with the ancient and modern culture and with peace and relaxation. Not everyone is suitable for organized cultural holidays. If you travel by yourself, you have more freedom to explore and to get to know the local population. In a foreign country, with a foreign culture, some barriers do however exist, especially for less experienced travellers, older people and people who travel alone (especially women).
	This can also be true of the chosen accommodation. A Bed & Breakfast has a lot of advantages. Because it is someone’s home, the house is only used by the occupants (and their personnel) and the guests. It is not a public building. Guests are always welcome for a chat and/or a cup of tea. Our slogan is: individual, but not alone! We are alway willing to offer advice or information on places of interest, activities and practical issues. We can also organize day trips for you.
